Revolution Power Australia has developed a Marine Power Solution that utilises our light weight Lithium Phosphate’s for your house bank batteries, combined with a Victron charging system.
It greatly reduces the need to run a generator for extended periods of time, yet silently provides enough power to run all your lighting and appliances, such as fridges, freezers, ice makers, microwave ovens and air conditioners.
Apart from saving a lot of weight in a boat, our system works well because of 2 things:
1. The fast charge rate of our lithium phosphate batteries, via generator and solar panels and the boat’s main engines while underway.
2. The ability to cycle the lithium batteries down to 20% of capacity rather than 40% for lead acid and AGM batteries.
Available in 12v, 24v or 48v configurations, the Revolution Power Marine Solution is specifically designed for the size of the boat and it’s power requirements, so if you are interested, it’s best to call Revolution Power Solution and discuss it with our very experienced marine staff.
The medium size boat power solution is 2 x 100 ampere/hour Revolution Power Lithium Phosphate batteries, combined with a Redarc Manager 30 charging system, a Victron 2000 watt inverter and 2 x 200 watt solar panels.
Ideal for weekend use, this system provides DC power to run lights, GPS chart plotter/sounders, small fridges and freezers and though the inverter, 240v appliances such as a kettle, coffee machine, microwave oven and toaster.
The batteries are charged quickly by the main engine or outboards when underway and the solar panels when at anchor.
Lithium Phosphate batteries are not suitable for crank batteries to start your outboard motor.
They are an ideal lightweight power supply for electric trolling motors, GPS chart plotter/sounders and lights.
The advantages of using Lithium Phosphate batteries in small boats are:
1. Their fast charge rate plus they are about one third the weight of lead acid or AGM batteries
2. Deliver more usable power, as they can be cycled down to 20% of capacity as opposed to 40% for standard batteries
